love these crazy kids!

It's Friday! So, we packed in the bus and headed to the beach! I got some great pics that capture a little of these kids' craziness!

Last night was a blast too! We had a party last night for all of the younger Hope Village kids who have been helping with VBS for the past 8 weeks! I can't tell you how proud of them I am!!!

Last and certainly not least.

Today was the last day of the 8 week VBS at Mission of Hope and it will never be forgotten! It would be difficult to forget any VBS with 900 kids in attendance!

Welby played some drums!

And Christella, Sophonie(not pictured), Nanel, and Marie Carmelle's Grandmother came to visit! So precious!

A few posts ago I introduced you to my family here, in Haiti. I just stumbled across a pic on one of my fave blogs that depicts our family so well!

Last Week of VBS

In the 8th week of VBS at Mission of Hope we have as many kids as ever and are still having so much fun! I finally remembered to take my camera and grab some pics on Monday! The morning starts out with chapel, songs, and games in the church with all of the kids. They are then split up into 4 rotating stations... crafts, community health, Bible story, and sports. The day ends with everyone eating in the cafeteria of the school.

Home Sweet Home

Yesterday was a monumental day in Mission of Hope history! You may remember me mentioning MOH's 500 Homes project in Leveque. Well, yesterday, the first 103 keys were handed out! Very exciting!

I wanted to share some pics I took there yesterday afternoon. I went with some fellow MOH staff, some groups people, and a bunch of Hope Village kids to help families move in!

Some people helped more than others... haha Welby and Wilner taking a break.

You can check out the MOH Blog for pics and info from the key ceremony!

Wahoo Bay

Yesterday, I got to load in a van with 5 kids who got the best scores in school this past year (Mackenlove, Widler, Miseline, Marielaine, and Marie Jeanne) and 3 who got the highest points for the last month (Nacheline, Christella A., and Cassanlove). We headed to the resort for a full day of swimming, snorkeling, yummy Haitian food, and smiling... a lot!

some of the coolest peeps I will ever know...

This summer has been so great! I owe a lot of the fun I have had to all the ladies I have gotten to live in community with this summer! I feel so blessed to know each of them! I want to introduce you and I'll start with my 2 roommates!

Brianna: here is a pic of us at the Sugar Cane Museum! Brianna is the new head of 3Cords and is hilarious when she's dehydrated!

Cassie: She is our amazing architect that is currently working on more projects than I can remember! She also owns the coolest hat on campus!

And now for the Hope Village Gangstaz!

Kara-Lynn: I pretty much still consider her a roommate and LOVE her heart for her work with all the kids here! She is an art therapist that came for 6 months to work with the orphanage. Bup Bup!!! (there is a large hole in my life without her here.)

Rachel: We are pretty much the same person (minus the whole blond/brunette thing). She is the Associate Director at the Village of Hope orphanage and she flew to Florida with me to see Harry Potter!

Last, but not least, my BEEFS!

Bailey: (aka B) She is more passionate about teaching than anyone else I know and... she can do the Jerk! (I miss her more than she knows!)

Courtney: C is the hardest worker on campus and runs all mission teams that come through MOH! She is Ellison's bestie and we both agree that UF is the worst!
